The Inspirational Story of Hermann Wygoda


Hermann Wygoda, a Polish Jew, smuggled food into the Warsaw ghetto and later fought Nazis in the mountains of northern Italy. His remarkable story will be told by his son Mark Wygoda at this year’s local commemoration of the Holocaust. The commemorative program will also include candle lighting, music by local performers, and the recitation of Kaddish. In addition, the 2025 North Carolina Holocaust Educator of the Year will be introduced and honored. Admission is free and all are welcome.
